I'm no interior designer.

I've officially decorated for fall.  I broke out the Ginger Pumpkin candles and all the fall decorations I own and carefully placed them around the living room.  And as I stood back to admire my work, I realized something.

My living room is about twice as big as my old living room, which means I need at least twice as many fall decorations.  It looks a little sparse.

I think it needs more leaves, more fillers.

And my console table, well, it's really almost pathetic.

And the wreath...

it looks a little sad up there all by itself.

I need help, all my interior design friends, desperately.  Any ideas to make it look fuller and less sad?

I'm horrible at this stuff, too, but I like buying long leaf garlands to bulk up the autumn decor. It would work well on your mantle. They are cheap, esp if you save your Michael's or Joanns coupons.

I've kind of been in the same boat. My fall decor filled our little house, and when we moved, barely made a dent. I have worked on focusing my seasonal decor to just a few places in the house, rather than try to fill everything. Since my living room is huge, I leave it alone until Christmas. I did a fall display in the entryway, kitchen table and behind the sink, and dining table. I also stalk TJ Maxx, but now that you are up north, Home Goods is even better. : ) Good luck!!
