So far this pregnancy has not been easy. Yes, I haven't been feeling well, but it's been more than that. And yesterday I think I figured it out. There was no adjustment time. With Josh and Hannah, there was a positive test, but I didn't feel pregnant for a month or so. And with Josh there was no nausea, none. With Hannah it was very mild and mostly was just that refluxy feeling. And I didn't show for a long time either. Yes, there was the growing of the chest that starts pretty early on, but my belly didn't start getting roundish until almost the end of the first trimester. (Although my belly button popped out almost before the round belly came. Go figure.) This pregnancy has been quite different.
9 weeks and 1 day, people. Look at that thing. It's almost sticking out further than, uh, the area above it. I can still wear regular shirts, but it's getting way too tight. Jeans are OK, but I am more comfy in the good 'ol elastic waste maternity ones.
I just didn't get any time to adjust. And, as those of you who have had babies know, no matter how badly you want to get pregnant, it still takes some time to adjust to the idea once the reality of the 2 pink lines hits. (I hope it's not just me...) So I have decided to embrace the round belly, the almost outy belly button and the rest of the sticking out stuff. And I decided the best way to do that was to share a picture of all that is round on my body. Well, I'm not going to turn around and take a picture of the backside, but you get the idea.
So here's to pregnancy and all the joy that comes with growing a life inside of your body. I have made the decision to be positive and stop complaining. Although I do reserve the right to complain a little if I go past 40 weeks.

You are ADORABLE!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's belly popped a little earlier this time around.:) I love your attitude, and I so agree with the adjustment period. I have needed it each and every time! I admire your attitude a lot, and wish I had been better at embracing it earlier on.:) You go mama--almost out of that first trimester!
