***UPDATE***
Day one of the garage sale was an amazing, HUGE success! I won't give the total so far so Jen can have the honor of doing that. Let's just say we were all blown away when the money was counted. It was an honor to sit there and watch the steady, and I mean steady, stream of people coming in to contribute funds to bring home their kiddo. God did some awesome stuff today and it brings tears to my eyes to even think about how He works all things for good in our lives. Thanks, Jen, for letting me be a tiny part of your journey!
Another cool part of the day was meeting Rory. She is my very first blogger friend that I have had the privilege of meeting in real life. Oh we hit it off all right. Can't wait until we get to spend some more time together...through our blogs and in real life!
And now for the bittersweet part of the day. It was my boy's last day of preschool. You have no idea (or maybe you do) how emotional I have been this last week. I can't even write right now exactly what is even making me emotional because I'm too overwhelmed. So I'll leave it at that, I guess. We met with Josh's kindergarten teacher today and she did some testing with him to see where he is at with his developmental readiness. Pretty much is he ready for kindergarten? He did very well and, without bragging, excelled in a couple of areas. I was very impressed, but not too surprised since his dad is an engineer and all. He is such a special boy and I am so happy to be his mom!
It has been a very long and emotional week. Today was a wonderful ending to it. Thanks Jen and Rory for a fun day and thank you God for the miracle you are performing for the Tompkins!
Now we're off for a MUCH NEEDED week long camping trip. See you when we get back. Have a great week!

Hey all you Capitol City folks! This Friday and Saturday from 8-5 is the BIG GARAGE SALE FUNDRAISER for the Tompkins Family Tai Adoption Fund. They are on an amazing journey to bring home a special gift from God. Come support them in their journey by doing some shopping. Besides, what's better than having a really great excuse for buying stuff, huh? Just leave a comment here or on Jen's blog and we'll get you the address or you can check the local Craig's List garage sale ads.
And if you don't live in the area or you don't like garage sales you can still make a donation directly to their adoption fund by clicking on the button at the left. Thanks for your support, I know the Tompkins are thankful for anything that you can give.
