And the total is...

I feel like I am a little behind the times on this, but I have to give you all an update on the Tompkins' adoption fundraiser garage sale. As I said before I got to be there on Friday. Saturday morning we took off for a week long camping trip (pictures to come). We were out of cell phone range for about 3 days, so I didn't get to catch up on how it all came out until Monday afternoon! I was dying to see Jen's blog to find out how they did. OH. MY. GOODNESS. When I finally got onto the Internet I was blown away! You can head over to her blog here and read her reaction for yourself but let me just say, when God has a plan and you are walking in line with that plan, amazing things can happen. Jen had told me that Friday that they were expecting to make about $1000. Get this, the total was actually $2848! A two day garage sale! Can you believe it? I get speechless every time I look at that number. (Go here and here too to read more about the garage sale miracles.)

Like I mentioned before I also got to meet a blogging buddy, Rory, aka Woosterweester. What a treat! Such a lovely person, so full of kindness and grace. I truly enjoyed visiting with her and getting the low down on the history of Rory and Jen. Too fun! As a semi-insecure (more than I like to ever admit) woman, it was really great to spend an entire day with two old (not in age, sheesh!) friends and never feel like a third wheel. Thanks Jen and Rory! You can head over to Rory's blog and read about her reaction to the garage sale too. She said all the things I wanted to say, but with better words. And Rory, the feeling is mutual! Although I did forget to ask...what does woosterweester mean, anyway?

So that's the scoop on the sale and God's provision and timing. Always there and always perfect!

(I promise my next post will have a lot more pictures and a lot fewer words.)
