This is my very first recipe post. I am dedicating it to my friend, Jen, who not only encouraged me to start this blog in the first place, but she is the cupcake blogging queen! I have read several other "mommy" blogs and I noticed that it is "the thing" to put recipes on said blogs, so here I go...

Tomorrow is Josh's 5th birthday so I decided to make cupcakes to take to his class at preschool. I had talked to my cupcake friend, Jen, about making Spiderman cupcakes as she has made some pretty impressive cupcakes so she suggested looking up how to make them on the Internet. Well, it never happened, so I went with these gourmet chocolate ones, instead.
Pour contents of package into a bowl
Add 2 eggs, 1 1/3 cups water and 1/2 cup oil
Mix for 30 seconds
Pour into cupcake pan
Bake at 350 degrees for 18-22 minutes
*
(If you are unable to print this recipe please note that they are already conveniently printed on the back of the cake mix box.)
*
When the cupcakes are cooled, open the can of chocolate frosting and spread on cupcakes.
*
Next place 3-5 Reece's Pieces peanut butter chips on top of cupcake in random fashion.
*
Follow these precise directions and you end up with this...

Hahahaha! I love it! I know that Josh & his classmates will LOVE these gourmet cupcakes. Reeces peanut butter chips?! DeLISH! Can't go wrong. Thanks for the dedication! Let's do a cupcake exchange sometime. :)
That is too funny! As much as I love to cook/bake, with the exception of a carrot cake recipe and one chocolate cake recipe, all of my cakes come from a box. If I'm really adventurous I'll make frosting from scratch. =)
Happy birthday Josh! Syd was so happy after church on Sunday because she said that he played with her the whole time (and Annie said the same about Hannah).
