"It's your life
What you gonna do?
The world is watching you
Every day the choices you make
Say what you are and who
Your heart beats for
It's an open door
It's your life"
The chorus from the song "It's Your Life" by christian artist Francesca Batistelli. Very profound and very fitting for the theme song for the final episode of "Jon and Kate Plus Eight."

But you know, you don't have to be on a reality TV show to have people watching how you live your life. Someone is always watching how we act, speak and the decisions we make in life. That is why I think it is so important to live life in a Godly fashion. You just never know who is watching and what kind of impression you are making on them.

I have spent a lot of time in the past speaking negatively about pretty much anyone and anything I could. It was mostly due to some bitterness that I was allowing in my heart. And now that I am healed of the bitterness, I look back and realize just how horribly negative and hurtful I was at times. What a horrible way live life. And who wants to live that way? I look back and wonder how people could even stand to be around me.

Matthew 15:11 says:
"What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.'"
*
"For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks."
Matthew 12:34b

How true both of the scriptures are. I have learned that if I allow God to change what is in my heart and how I think, the words coming out of my mouth change too. And thank God for that!

I didn't know what I really wanted to say in this post, I just let my fingers type away. I guess my point is that we need to realize that whether we are on a TV reality show or not, we need to be mindful of the words that come out of our mouths and our actions because they reflect what is truly in our hearts.

(On a side note. As I was typing this the kids were watching a cartoon before bedtime. Josh was in his undies because I made him remove his clothes a little earlier so I could have them to make a full load of darks. Don't tell me none of you have done that before. Any who, while I was wildly typing away in my own little world Josh came over to me and said "Mom look at me." I glanced up quickly and saw that Josh had stuffed his entire blankey down in the front of his undies. I did my best not to laugh, but it was pretty much impossible. So much for my serious train of thought.)
