Three Weeks

And the count down continues...3 weeks until we move back home! It is amazing to me how fast 18 months cruises by. It also amazes me how long ago it seems that we moved to the desert. I guess time is all relative, isn't it? I am still so very sad to leave the desert and all the amazing and unexpected friends we have made here. Why just tonight I had dinner with my good friend, Kat while Shad is off hiking with her husband (and a few other guys), Ralf. I just bantered with our pastor here in the desert via Facebook about the recent Obama health care reform speech. (Don't even get me started...can you say Monopoly money?) I am just so thankful that God has provided Shad and I with so many wonderful people here. I am a pretty social person and think I would have withered away if He wouldn't have given us our friends and church family here.

But, now that it is getting so close, and our house back home is no longer pink, I am starting to get very excited! I have a hard time sleeping at night because my mind is racing. One month until Josh's first day of school. How will the furniture look with the new indoor paint color? When will I start back to work? Will I start back to work? I can't wait to start back to Mom 2 Mom! Back to the mall with Maria!!!! Target will only be 5 minutes away. Back to our community group. Grandparents less than a mile away. No more having to let Laney out, we have a doggy door! Which gym will I join? I get my dear friend Karen back for midweek babysitting. And the list goes on and on...

I really don't know how to end this blog. I never knew I could be so sad and so excited all at the same time. That's really all I have to say for now... Thanks for letting me vent a little.

I feel the same way! Sad that you're leaving, but excited for you that you get to move back! Hopefully we'll end up living close again in a few months :o)
