Five years ago, I really wanted to go. It wasn’t time. Almost two years ago, we ran for life. It still wasn’t time to go. Six months ago, I knew it was time to start thinking about going. I didn’t want to go. I told Shad that I thought it was time to go and he didn’t want to go. We waited. Two months later, we both knew it was time to go. I sent an email, we got some information, we booked our trip.
Two weeks from today, Shad and I leave for Haiti. We are going on a one week trip with Heartline Ministries. We’ll spend a week in Port au Prince learning about and seeing first hand what God is doing there through Heartline. We’ll be stretched, challenged and uncomfortable. It will be good for us to be stretched, challenged and uncomfortable. We have no idea what God will do in us on this trip, but we are expectantly and nervously excited to see what it is.
We’re going.
