Gap Toothed Twins

About 6 months ago I got a call from the school nurse telling me that Hannah had taken a running dive into a desk at school.  Next she asked me if Hannah's front teeth were already loose.  I told her no.  It turned out that Hannah had done quite a doozy to her front teeth, gums and even the bone in her upper jaw.  The next day the dentist pulled her two front teeth leaving the ones on each side a little loose and one with a small chip in it. The poor girl had some nasty purple, swollen gums for about a week after.  But Hannah took it like a champ.

About a month ago Josh lost his first top front tooth.  A couple days later, the other one came out.  I immediately told him to repeat Suzy sells sea shells down by the sea shore.  Shad and I got a good, crying laugh out of that one.  The next thing I wanted was a picture of Josh and Hannah together with their twin gap toothed grins.  Up until mentioning that, Hannah was very proud of her gap toothed grin and was very quick to show you it.  I don't know if it was jelousy or timidity, but the girl would not pose for a picture with Josh.  Argh.  Finally, one day, after playing in the sprinkler, I caught her at a weak moment and got my pictures.

Here you can see Josh's gap toothed grin very well.

You can see Hannah's better here, but she's squinting from the bright sun.

There they are.  My gap toothed grinning twins.  I love it.
