This girl is not easy to photograph.

She refuses to look at the camera.

It doesn't matter how silly I act.

Or how loudly I call her name.

She doesn't want to sit still, either.

She wants to stand.

And see what she can get her hands on.

Once I caught her still, as she stared at something interesting.

Until she found something to point at.

Or amused herself by saying something funny.

Or found a plant to touch.

She loves her big sissy's lap.

And when Daddy feeds her cookies.

Sitting in the grass was fun.

As long as she didn't fall over.

Mommy's lap was OK, but not nice enough to smile.

But after many shots, I finally got the one I was looking for.
