It's been a few months since I made my New Year goals, so I thought I would go back and read through them to see where I am at with them.
-
Start a daily prayer journal and spend at least 5 minutes a day really praying. For Monday through Friday I have specific people that I will be praying for, either generally or for a specific matter.
-
Start the women's bible study at our new church. (That starts tomorrow.) I had to miss a few weeks during my radiation treatment, but I am enjoying it.
-
Be open to the people/new friends that God will be putting in my life over the next year. This will be an ongoing goal for the entire year, but I have met a lot of new people. I officially have 4 new Facebook friends from the new town we live in. That is what makes friendship official, right?
-Shad and I will join a small group at our new church. (I haven't told him that this is one of my goals, but I think we are pretty much on the same page with this one.) We start our new small group on Monday. I'm excited.
-Find a new line of hair care products. Hasn't been a huge priority, you know, since I've been having cancer treatment.
-Find a new hair dresser. Same answer as above.
-Find a new Mary Kay lady in our new town. Uh, ya. I am thinking about going to Sephora and trying some products from there.
-Find a new dentist for the family. This one is half done. The kids have a new dentist and have even had their teeth cleaned. We had to find one for Hannah after the knocking out her front teeth incident. Shad and I are still putting it off.
-Continue my exercise routine, burning at least 2500 calories per week. This is another one that got put on the back burner. I'll get back at it, eventually.

Have my weight be in the 140's by our trip to Maui in 5 weeks. Only 3.5 pounds to go for that. Done! And then some. Yay!
-
Get rid of the tiny wart on my leg, preferably before Maui. Also, done!
-Get rid of my eczema, preferably before Maui. I am waiting for a biopsy result on that one. It didn't respond to the strong steroid cream the way it should have, so my dermatologist did a punch biopsy. Should know what it really is and how to treat it in the next week. It almost made me laugh to read this one. As you know, I'm working on it. And, it's not eczema.
-
Purchase a flattering bathing suit definitely before we go to Maui. And be happy in it even if my body is not exactly how I want it. DONE!!! :)

No cookies before bed for one month. I started this on Dec. 27th. You see, Shad and I, for years, have been enjoying warm, Nestle Toll house cookies with milk pretty much every night before bed. It's been like our the-kids-are-in-bed date. I cut back to only 2 from the usual 4 after Bethany was born. But I decided to stop for a month and just see if it makes a difference in my weight loss. After a few days of me not eating them, Shad has stopped also. It's a good thing, but it's also kind of sad. We are just going to have to find a healthy snack to enjoy together to celebrate that the kids are in bed. I lost 4 pounds during that month. Woohoo!
It's interesting to see how things have changed since I did the original post. But, lymphoma or not, I am still going to keep working at meeting my goals.
