I spent about 3 hours wrapping gifts a few days ago. It was a long, labor intensive job, as you all know Christmas gift wrapping can be. I placed all the gifts under the tree, trying to make them look nice. Later that evening, as we were finishing up dinner, I heard some paper crinkling coming from the living room. I got up to see what it was and this is what came walking out of the living room toward me.
I always get Laney a couple of rubber squeaky toys, wrap them sloppily and give them to her on Christmas morning to unwrap. She really does unwrap them. Well, then she eats the paper, but she does unwrap her gifts. Sometimes she waits until Christmas and sometimes she sniffs them out and opens them early.
She is as excited about Christmas gifts as the kids are.
We just don't enforce the "waiting until Christmas morning to open gifts" rule with her. Besides it would be pointless, once she knows which ones are hers, she won't leave them alone.
Bad dog!
Bad dog!
Oh, forget it.
