Sunday we got home after a weekend camping trip. Shad and I emptied the trailer, cleaned it and started washing laundry so we can head out tonight for yet another camping trip. This trip is unique in a couple of ways: 1) It's the first time I have been camping with my family since I lived at home and 2) Shad has to work, so it will be the first time I have camped without him since, well, I lived at home. My husband is so great, though. He is coming home from work today to hitch up the trailer and haul it to our camp spot, about 80 miles away, and drop it off for the kids and I to use for the week. What a guy, huh? Why couldn't I just tent it, you ask. First, all of our camp gear is in that trailer, so it would be a lot of work to unpack it. Second, we don't even own a tent or a Coleman stove. And lastly, it's sad to say, but I have become a bit accustomed to sleeping in the trailer, having electricity and running (hot and cold) water, having heat and even letting the kids watch a movie some nights when I just want to sit by the fire in peace. And by peace I mean not having to worry about one of them falling into the fire. A little pre-Madonna, maybe so, but I am not ashamed of it.
Needless to say, this blog will be quiet for about a week or so. So I thought I would leave you all with some random kiddo pics until I get back to tell you all about this monumental camping trip. Have a great week all!
