Happy Saturday!

After my long, drug out, complainy post Friday, I thought my next one better be good to keep people returning to this blog. Well, its going to happen and I didn't even have to wrack my brain to come up with something positive and totally not-complainy.
Saturday was a really great day! I got to spend the entire day with Shad, the kids, the Winsteads and Ralf. After much discussion all week we decided to go fishing for the day. It was a little iffy in the morning because we had been having some pretty major thunder storms for the last few days and we woke up to gray skies and a little drizzle. But being true Oregonians we decided to risk the rain and go. And I am so glad that we did. We caught fish (some big, most small), chased whistle pigs (that's ground squirrels to the non locals), watched the kids put a dead fish in the mud puddle and attempt to fish for it, watched for rattle snakes (and didn't see any thankfully!) and just enjoyed being outside and together. I even finally learned how to cast the pole without getting the reel all tangled up, like I am so good at doing. Who knew I had been doing it wrong all this time! And it didn't rain until we were driving home.

This is how Hannah fishes, she just sits and looks cute!

Shad would catch the fish and Josh would reel it in.

Check out my whopper!!
This is the poor fish that ended up in the mud puddle.
I think this pictures sums up the whole day!
We ended the day by watching the first 2 episodes of "Band of Brothers" (after the kids were in bed, of course), while catching glimpses of the lightning outside, and listening to the thunder and driving rain. It was a very relaxing and therapeutic day after all the time I have spent this last week on worrying. (What a complete waste of time it was!!!)
